USS FLOYD B. PARKS (DD 884) ASSOCIATION

Vice President

John Hall

I joined the Navy in 1969 went to boot camp in San Diego CA And then served on the Floyd B. Parks 1970-1972 making two Westpac's. Where I served as a MM in Main Control. After my discharge I stayed in the Naval reserves for 2 years. I participated in the first Operation "Charger SurfPac 1-73" where we steamed the USS Southerland DD-743 from Seattle WA via Adak, Alaska to Sasebo, Japan. My time on the Parks and the friends I made are some of the most memorable times of life.
